We all need to stretch our literary muscles. Like our body, if we don’t use them, they atrophy. Every two weeks, I’ll give you five common (and sometimes uncommon) words. Write a short monologue using all five, and I’ll publish it on a rolling basis until the deadline, when the words will change. It’s like a literary Rorschach test. Need a refresher on what a monologue is? Click here for Encyclopedia Brittanica’s definition.
How to participate: copy-paste your titled monologue, using all five words (and including them in the subject line), along with a name or pen-name and a short bio to fivewordmonologues [at] gmail [dot] com. And enjoy!
